I wouldn't quite agree that China even bothers about world peace.

ReplyDeleteOur media and polity is particularly shameless.....they keep on talking like India will be the next superpower by 2020 or 2030....without actually taking any steps to ensure that .....at best we debate.......uselessly

ReplyDeleteIt is a derivitive of a social deficiency that plagues Indian culture. Boasting or implying you have or will have something that you currently do not. How is one to interpret progress when the educated and wealthy continue to emerge and yet there are still 500 million people without proper or any electricity. Forget about China or the USA. You aren't in there league, and unless you address important domestic issues you won't be. China may not bother about world peace, what about India's disregard for inner peace? Questioning the often corrupt and disconnected politicians (as they are in every country for the vast majority of them) is what you call being a patriot. Well done Shivraj, you are truly a component of that progress that so many Indians speak of.
